Pager installation: key steps for success
Installing a pager system is simple, but a few key steps ensure successful deployment.
Step 1: Needs assessment
Before any purchase, assess your needs: number of simultaneous pagers, required range, environment (indoor/outdoor), integration with your POS.
Step 2: Location selection
The call base should be centrally positioned for optimal coverage. Avoid metal obstacles and sources of interference.
Positioning tips:
- Base at height (1.5 to 2 meters)
- Away from microwave ovens
- Central to the coverage area
Step 3: Configuration
Our systems are pre-configured at the factory. Simply charge the pagers, turn on the base, and test the range.
Step 4: Staff training
15 minutes of training is usually sufficient. Key points: pager distribution, alert triggering, basic maintenance.
Step 5: Real-world testing
Before official launch, test the system during a full service. Check range in all areas, including patios.
